Spring and fall are your best bets, with spawning season in the fall offering some of the most exciting action. Try focusing your efforts around areas with submerged logs, undercut banks, and deeper pools, as Browns are ambush predators. A local tip: access to some of these streams can be tricky, so be sure to check local regulations regarding public access and right-of-way. Also, water levels can fluctuate significantly after heavy rains, so check conditions before heading out. The Browns here aren't huge, typically averaging 10-16 inches, but their wild nature and the challenge of fishing small, technical streams make for a rewarding experience.
