Hybrid Striped Bass

While not as widely known as some other Georgia fisheries, North High Shoals offers a unique opportunity to chase hybrid striped bass in a more intimate setting. These hard-fighting fish are stocked in a few select reservoirs within reasonable driving distance of North High Shoals, offering a thrilling experience for anglers. Spring and fall are the peak seasons, when the hybrids are most active. Look for them near points, humps, and submerged structure. Trolling with crankbaits or casting swimbaits are effective methods. Live bait, such as shad or shiners, can also produce excellent results.
