Focus your efforts on the Coosa River system, particularly the backwaters and creeks that feed into it. These areas offer the kind of structure largemouth love – fallen timber, lily pads, and overhanging vegetation. Spring and fall are prime times, with the pre-spawn and post-spawn periods in spring being particularly productive. In the fall, bass will be actively feeding to fatten up for winter.
