Largemouth Bass

Parker, Arizona, offers some fantastic largemouth bass fishing along the Colorado River. The river's impoundments, like Lake Havasu, are prime locations. The best times are spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) when the water temperatures are moderate. Bass tend to move into shallower waters to spawn in the spring, making them easier to target with topwater lures and soft plastics. In the fall, they're actively feeding to prepare for winter. Look for structure like submerged vegetation, rocky points, and docks. A local tip: the Bill Williams River arm of Lake Havasu is known for its dense vegetation, which holds a lot of bass. Be aware of the river's current, especially near the Parker Dam, and always check the water levels before heading out. The largemouth in the area are known for their aggressive strikes, especially on reaction baits.
