Fall, as the water cools, is another excellent period as they fatten up for winter. Focus on structure like submerged timber, weed beds, and rocky points. Lake Augusta offers boat access, while smaller ponds may be accessible only by foot. Be aware of potential boating restrictions on smaller lakes.
