Largemouth Bass

If you're targeting largemouth bass in the Martin, Tennessee area, you're in for some classic West Tennessee freshwater fishing. This region is dotted with smaller lakes and ponds, many privately owned but some with public access, alongside the nearby Obion River system. While Reelfoot Lake gets most of the attention in this part of the state, don't overlook the smaller waters around Martin. Spring is prime time, as bass move shallow to spawn, but the fall can also be productive as they feed up before winter. Look for submerged structure like fallen trees and weed beds.
