Consider using a wire leader to prevent bite-offs, as pike have sharp teeth. Try fishing along the weed edges and drop-offs, particularly near the southern end of the lake. Pike in Round Lake can reach impressive sizes, offering a thrilling fight. The public boat launch in the town of Round Lake provides easy access. Be prepared for some submerged vegetation, especially during the summer months, which can make fishing challenging but also provides excellent pike habitat.
