Rainbow Trout

While Lake Champlain is known for other species, the tributaries near Vergennes, Vermont, offer pockets of opportunity for Rainbow Trout. Little Otter Creek and other smaller streams that feed into the lake can hold stocked rainbows, especially after spring releases. These fish provide a fun and accessible fishing experience.
