Sheepshead, often overlooked, provide excellent fishing opportunities around Lakeport, Texas, specifically in Sabine Lake. These striped fish are abundant around structure like docks, piers, and especially oyster reefs. Spring and early summer are excellent times to target them as they move inshore to spawn.
