Smallmouth Bass

Smallmouth bass fishing near Brown City is limited, but not entirely absent. Your best bet is to explore the larger rivers in the region, such as the Black River or even sections of the Cass River. While not known for their smallmouth populations, these rivers can hold some decent fish, especially in areas with rocky bottoms and current breaks. Summer and early fall are the most productive times to target smallmouth. Look for areas with deeper pools and submerged structure.
