Targeting striped bass in the freshwater of Egegik, Alaska, is an extremely unusual endeavor. Striped bass are primarily a saltwater species, and while they can tolerate brackish water, finding them thriving in the freshwater systems around Egegik is highly improbable. There are no known populations of landlocked striped bass in this region. While technically possible that a stray fish *could* make its way far upriver, it is not a viable fishing target.
