Walleye fishing near Wauconda means exploring the Chain O' Lakes. While not the first species that comes to mind for this region, the Chain holds a decent population of walleye, particularly in the deeper, clearer lakes like Channel Lake and Catherine Lake. Jigging near current areas, especially around bridge pilings, can also be effective.
