Walleye

While not widely known as a walleye hotspot, the lakes near Tenino, Washington, offer a chance to hook into these tasty fish. Black Lake and Pattison Lake are your best bets. These lakes have healthy populations of walleye that are often overlooked by anglers targeting other species. Targeting walleye in the spring and fall is ideal. During these times, they tend to move closer to shore to spawn or feed heavily before winter. Focus on areas with rocky bottoms or submerged timber, as these provide excellent cover for walleye.
