White Bass

White bass fishing near Pretty Prairie, Kansas, can be a blast, especially during their spring spawning runs. While the Ninnescah River does hold white bass, your best bet is to target nearby reservoirs and larger creeks that feed into it. These feisty fish congregate in the shallows and near tributaries as the water warms up in March and April. Look for areas with current or rocky bottoms.
