White Bass

If white bass are on your radar near Lenoir City, the spring spawning runs in the Tennessee River and its tributaries are the time to be there. These fish are aggressive and provide exciting action on light tackle. Focus your efforts around current breaks, rocky points, and below dams. Small crankbaits, spinners, and jigs are all effective lures. A local hotspot is the area below Fort Loudoun Dam, but be prepared for crowds, especially during peak spawning season. Also, monitor water levels and clarity, as these can significantly impact white bass activity.
