Species Regulations
Carp may be taken by bowfishing, gig, or snagging.
Buffalo fish are considered non-game fish in Missouri.
Diploid (fertile) grass carp may not be possessed, transported, or sold in Missouri. Only triploid (sterile) grass carp are allowed for stocking in private ponds with a permit.
Only 2 shovelnose sturgeon may be possessed, and they must be within the 24-37 inch slot limit. All sturgeon over 37 inches must be released immediately.
