About FishingCharterFinder
Who runs this site
FishingCharterFinder is an independently owned and operated directory. It is not owned by a booking platform, a marketing agency, or any charter operation. The goal is simple: one place to find every working fishing guide in a given town, with enough real information — seasons, species, regulations, contact details — to plan a trip and call the captain directly.
Where the information comes from
- Charter listings are compiled from public business information — the operator's own website, published contact details, and public ratings. Captains can claim their listing free to add photos, rates, and trip details, or ask us to correct or remove it.
- Regulations, seasons, and license data are assembled from state wildlife-agency publications. Rules change through the year, so every regulations section links to the state agency as the authoritative source — always verify there before fishing.
- Local fishing write-ups (what bites where, and when) are assembled from seasonality data and regional fishery information, and we are progressively reviewing them market by market. If you spot something a local would never say, tell us — we fix it.
- Destination guides are written and maintained by our editorial team — not mass-generated. We publish them one at a time, starting where our charter coverage is deepest.
How listings and rankings work
Listing is free for guides in 2026. No captain pays to appear in this directory, and no one can pay to outrank another operator: listings are ordered by profile completeness and public ratings, nothing else. We do not take booking commissions and we do not run affiliate links — when you contact a captain from this site, the relationship is entirely between you and them.

Corrections & contact
Found an error — a closed operation still listed, a wrong season, a broken link? Contact us and we'll fix it. Captains who want their listing updated or removed get priority handling.
