Various

Blackfin tuna fishing near Flagler Beach offers exciting opportunities relatively close to shore. These tuna are known for their spirited fights and delicious table fare. Focus your efforts on offshore reefs and wrecks, as well as areas where you find schools of baitfish. Chumming is a highly effective technique, drawing the tuna to the boat with a steady stream of cut bait. Live bait fishing with pilchards or threadfin herring is also a great option. Spring and fall are generally the best times to target blackfin tuna, as they migrate through the area. A key tip is to use fluorocarbon leaders, as blackfin can be line-shy. The Flagler Beach Municipal Pier provides a vantage point to spot feeding activity, which can help you locate productive areas offshore. Remember to check the fishing regulations for size and bag limits before heading out.
