The North Fork of the White River, a short drive away, is the most notable destination. This river is known for its clear, cold waters that support a healthy population of browns. The best time to fish for them here is during the cooler months, from late fall through early spring, when water temperatures are ideal. Stealth is key when targeting these wary fish. Use long leaders, light tippets, and natural-looking flies. A local tip: focus your efforts in the deeper pools and runs, especially those with rocky bottoms and plenty of cover.
