Channel Catfish

For channel catfish anglers, Des Arc, Missouri, presents a classic river fishing scenario. The St. Francis River is the main draw here, offering plenty of deep holes, log jams, and undercut banks that catfish love. Summer evenings and nights are particularly productive, as the catfish become more active in the warmer water. Prepared baits like stink baits and chicken livers are always a good choice, but many locals also swear by cut bait from locally caught sunfish or shad.
