Channel Catfish

Channel catfish are a reliable target for anglers visiting Bailey, Texas. While you won't find vast, catfish-filled rivers right in town, the smaller lakes and ponds in the surrounding area offer decent catfishing opportunities. These smaller bodies of water often hold good numbers of channel cats, especially during the warmer months. Spring through fall is the best time to target them.
