This massive reservoir provides ideal habitat for crappie, with abundant submerged timber, brush piles, and deepwater structure. Spring is prime time, as crappie move into shallower waters to spawn. Focus your efforts in coves and along the shoreline near flooded timber. Trolling jigs or minnows slowly is a productive technique. Fall can also be excellent as the fish feed up before winter, moving back into the creeks and river channels.
