Kimberling City sits right on the shores of Table Rock Lake, making it a prime crappie fishing destination in Missouri. What sets Table Rock apart is its clear water, abundant standing timber, and numerous coves, all of which provide excellent habitat for crappie. Spring and fall are the peak seasons, as the crappie move into shallower water to spawn or feed before winter. During the spawn, try targeting the backs of coves and around submerged brush piles with jigs or minnows under a bobber. In the fall, look for crappie suspended around deeper timber using your electronics. A local tip: the Indian Point area is known for its concentration of crappie, but can get crowded. For less pressure, explore the Kings River arm of the lake. Also, be aware that Table Rock Lake can fluctuate significantly, so check lake levels before you go to adjust your approach.
