Crappie

If you're heading to Arnold, Nebraska, for crappie, you're likely targeting the area lakes and reservoirs that dot the landscape. These smaller bodies of water can hold surprisingly good crappie populations. Spring is prime time, as the fish move into the shallows to spawn. Look for them near submerged timber, brush piles, and weed edges. Fall can also be productive as the water cools and crappie school up before winter.
