The spring and early summer months, as water temperatures rise, are generally the best times to target these flatfish. Drifting with a fluke rig baited with squid strips or minnows is a popular and effective technique. Focus on areas with sandy or muddy bottoms near channels and inlets. A local tip: try adding a spinner blade to your fluke rig to attract more attention in murky water. Public boat ramps are available, but be aware of strong tidal currents in the bay.
