Hybrid Striped Bass

If you're looking for some hard-fighting action in the Pendergrass, Georgia area, consider targeting hybrid striped bass. Lake Lanier, a short drive away, is the primary location for these fish. Hybrids are known for their aggressive strikes and powerful runs, making them a popular target for anglers. They thrive in Lanier's open water and are often found schooling near points, humps, and submerged timber. Trolling with crankbaits or casting swimbaits and bucktails are effective techniques. Live bait, such as shad or herring, can also be very productive, especially when fishing near schools of baitfish. Spring and fall are the best times to target hybrids, as they are more active during these periods.
