Hybrid Striped Bass

While not as common as some other species, Hybrid Striped Bass can be found in some of the larger reservoirs and waterways near Primera, Texas, particularly those that have been stocked. Check with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for stocking reports and locations. These fish offer an exciting fishing experience, known for their aggressive strikes and strong fighting ability. Look for areas with submerged structure or points. Access to these reservoirs typically requires a boat, so be sure to check for boat ramp locations and any associated fees. Hybrid Striped Bass can tolerate warmer water than their Striped Bass cousins, but they still prefer cooler temperatures, so plan your trips accordingly.
