Focus your efforts on lakes like Lake Sam Rayburn or B.A. Steinhagen Lake, both within driving distance. These lakes, formed by damming rivers, provide the open water and deep channels that Hybrids favor. Spring and fall are prime times, as the fish move shallower to feed. For bank access, try areas near the dam structures or public parks. If you have a boat, trolling crankbaits or casting swimbaits along submerged humps and points can be very effective.
