Largemouth Bass

Summer can be productive with deep-diving crankbaits and Carolina rigs around offshore structure. Lanier is a spotted bass lake primarily, but there are still Largemouth to be caught. A local tip is to pay close attention to your electronics to locate submerged timber and rock piles, which often hold bass. Plenty of public boat ramps around the lake provide easy access, but be aware that Lanier can get crowded, especially on weekends. Largemouth in Lanier tend to be pressured, so finesse techniques and presentations can be very effective.
