This reservoir offers a diverse habitat, from submerged timber and rocky points to weed beds and clear, open water. Spring (April-May) is prime time as the bass move shallow to spawn, followed by a strong bite again in the fall (September-October) as they fatten up for winter. Look for pre-spawn bass staging near creek channels leading into the lake. A key to success here is understanding the thermocline during the hotter months; bass will often congregate just above it. For bank access, try the Arcadia Lake trails on the east side – you'll find several points and coves within walking distance.
