Largemouth Bass

Branson, Missouri, offers some excellent Largemouth Bass fishing, particularly in Table Rock Lake and Bull Shoals Lake. Table Rock is known for its clear water and rocky structure, while Bull Shoals has more flooded timber and stained water. Spring and fall are peak seasons, as the bass are actively feeding in shallower water. During the spawn, target protected coves and shallow flats with soft plastics and jigs. In the fall, focus on areas where shad are congregating, using crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwater lures. A local tip: Pay attention to the thermocline, especially during the summer months. Bass will often hold just above it, where the water is cooler and more oxygenated. Check the Missouri Department of Conservation website for lake-specific fishing reports and regulations. Access to both lakes is excellent, with numerous boat ramps and marinas available.
