For bank anglers, consider accessing the river from the various road crossings, but be mindful of private property. If you're launching a boat, the public ramp at nearby Buckhorn Reservoir provides access to a larger body of water with a healthy bass population. A local tip: Carolina-rigged worms and crankbaits are consistently effective in these waters. The bass here tend to be aggressive, so don't be afraid to experiment with faster retrieves.
