If you're looking to tangle with some largemouth bass in northeastern Pennsylvania, Wyalusing is a great place to start. The Susquehanna River, which flows through Wyalusing, offers excellent bass fishing opportunities, particularly in its slower-moving sections and backwaters. The bass here tend to congregate around submerged structure like fallen trees, weed beds, and rocky outcroppings. Spring and fall are prime times, as the bass are actively feeding before and after the summer heat. During the summer, focus on early morning and late evening for the best bite. A local tip: try fishing the mouths of creeks that feed into the Susquehanna, as these areas often hold baitfish and, consequently, largemouth. Public access is available at the Wyalusing Township Park, offering boat launch facilities and shoreline fishing access.
