Northern Pike

If you're looking for Northern Pike near Livonia, Michigan, focus your attention on the Huron River watershed and the numerous lakes and reservoirs within a short drive. While the Rouge River runs through Livonia, it's generally better suited for smaller species. Kent Lake in Kensington Metropark is a popular and productive option. Early spring, just after ice-out, is prime time for pike as they move into shallower waters to spawn. Fall is also excellent as they actively feed before winter.
