Northern Pike

If you're targeting Northern Pike in the Richland, Missouri area, you'll want to focus your efforts on the Gasconade River and its tributaries. While not known as a premier pike destination, the Gasconade does hold a population of these toothy predators, offering a unique angling experience in the Ozarks. Spring is undoubtedly the best time to target pike here, as they move into shallower backwaters and weed beds to spawn. Early morning and late evening are prime times. Look for areas with submerged timber or dense vegetation – pike love to ambush prey.
