Northern Pike

Targeting Northern Pike in Washburn, Missouri, presents a unique Ozark fishing experience. While not as common as in northern states, these ambush predators thrive in the cooler, deeper sections of Table Rock Lake and its tributary arms near Washburn. Spring and fall are the prime times, as pike move into shallower waters to spawn or fatten up for winter. Focus on areas with submerged timber, weed beds, and creek inlets. A local tip: try trolling large crankbaits or swimbaits along the edges of flooded timber in the Kings River arm of Table Rock.
