Northern Pike

Targeting Northern Pike near Wheaton, Missouri, presents a unique challenge, as they aren't as prevalent as other species. However, some of the larger reservoirs and river systems in southwest Missouri do hold populations of pike. While specific locations closer to Wheaton may be limited, venturing a bit further to larger bodies of water could increase your chances. Also, use a wire leader to prevent bite-offs, as pike have sharp teeth. While not a guarantee, putting in the time and effort to explore these larger waters could reward you with a memorable pike catch.
