Northern Pike

Targeting Northern Pike near Smithville, Ohio, means focusing on the relatively shallow, weedy waters of local reservoirs and larger ponds. While Ohio isn't known as a pike mecca, these fish are present and offer a thrilling challenge. Spring, just after ice-out, is prime time as pike move into shallow bays to spawn.
