The key here is the network of smaller creeks and the upper reaches of French Creek. These waters are known for their rocky bottoms and clear, cool flows, perfect for bronzebacks. While French Creek gets some pressure, exploring the smaller tributaries can pay off big time. Spring and early summer, after the spawn, are prime times, as the smallmouths are actively feeding. Fall is also excellent as they bulk up for winter. A local tip: Focus on areas with current breaks, like boulders or submerged logs.
