Spotted Bass

Spotted bass, also known as Kentucky bass, offer a fun alternative to largemouth around Temple, Oklahoma. While not as abundant as largemouth, they can be found in many of the same lakes and reservoirs, often preferring slightly deeper, clearer water. Waurika Lake is a good starting point. Look for them around rocky points, submerged timber, and along bluffs. Spring and fall are productive times, as the spotted bass move shallow to spawn or feed.
