These waters are renowned for their striper runs, especially during the cooler months. Winter and early spring are prime time, as stripers migrate upstream to spawn. Focus your efforts on areas with current breaks and structure where the fish will ambush prey. For bank access, check out the areas around the dam itself (obey all posted restrictions, of course). Boat anglers will find several launch ramps in the area, but be prepared for potentially crowded conditions, especially on weekends. One local tip: shad-imitation lures are almost always effective.
