Striped Bass

Striped bass fishing near Garibaldi, Oregon, presents a unique opportunity on the state's northern coast, primarily in the Tillamook Bay system. While not as prolific as East Coast fisheries, the estuaries and lower reaches of rivers flowing into the bay hold a population of stripers. Fall is prime time, as stripers follow salmon runs and other baitfish moving into the estuaries.
