Walleye fishing near Archie, Missouri, requires a bit of a drive, but the effort can be rewarding. While there aren't walleye populations in the immediate vicinity, Truman Lake, located about an hour southeast, offers a decent walleye fishery. Spring and fall are the best times to target walleye, with the pre-spawn bite in March and April and the fall migration in October and November providing the most action. Public boat ramps are plentiful around Truman Lake, providing easy access to different parts of the reservoir. While Truman Lake isn't a walleye factory, consistent effort and the right techniques can put some tasty fish in the boat.
