Focus on rocky points, submerged timber, and the dam area. Early morning and late evening are generally productive. A local tip: Stockton can get windy quickly, so check the forecast before you head out. Also, be aware of the clearer water in Stockton, and adjust your presentation accordingly – lighter line and natural-looking baits often work best. While smaller, the Sac River also holds walleye, especially below the Stockton Dam. The walleye in this region tend to be on the smaller side, but the chance for a trophy exists.
