White Bass

White bass enthusiasts visiting Franklin, Kentucky, will find the best action in the spring during their spawning runs. While Franklin itself doesn't have vast rivers, tributaries to the larger Barren River system can hold good numbers of white bass. Look for them congregating below dams, in creek mouths, and along rocky shoals. Small jigs, spinners, and crankbaits are all effective lures. The bite can be fast and furious when you find them, but they can also be finicky, so experiment with your presentation.
