If fast-paced action is what you crave, Streetman, Texas, and nearby Richland Chambers Reservoir offer excellent white bass fishing. These schooling fish are abundant in the lake and provide a thrilling experience, especially during their spring spawning runs up the tributaries. The best time to target white bass is from late winter through early spring, when they congregate in large numbers in the creeks and river channels. Look for birds diving or surface activity to locate schools of feeding fish. Small jigs, spinners, and crankbaits are all effective lures. A practical tip: the upper ends of the Richland and Chambers arms of the reservoir are known hotspots during the spawn. Launching from a ramp on the northern end of the lake will put you in prime position.
