Crappie fishing near Reeds Spring centers around the vast expanse of Table Rock Lake. Known for its abundant crappie population, Table Rock offers both black and white crappie. Spring, during the pre-spawn and spawn, is the most popular time, when crappie move into the shallows around brush piles, docks, and submerged timber. Small jigs and minnows suspended under bobbers are the go-to presentations. During the rest of the year, crappie can be found in deeper water near structure. Brush piles are strategically placed throughout the lake, often marked with buoys, providing excellent fishing spots. Numerous marinas and boat ramps provide easy access. A fish finder is invaluable for locating crappie schools, especially in deeper water. Local tip: Try targeting the shaded sides of docks on sunny days. Table Rock crappie are known for their good size, making for some exciting and rewarding fishing.
