Largemouth Bass

Lake Greeson, near Daisy, Arkansas, is a fantastic destination for largemouth bass anglers. This sprawling reservoir, formed by the Little Missouri River, offers a diverse range of habitat, from standing timber and rocky bluffs to shallow coves and submerged vegetation. Largemouth thrive in these conditions, and you'll find both quality and quantity here. Spring is undoubtedly the prime time, as bass move shallow to spawn. Topwater lures, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits are all effective during this period. As the water warms in summer, focus on deeper structure with Texas-rigged worms or Carolina rigs. For bank access, try the areas around the dam or the numerous campgrounds. Launching a boat gives you the best access to the entire lake. The bass population here is healthy, with a good mix of sizes, and it's not uncommon to hook into a fish over 5 pounds. Be prepared for changing weather conditions, as thunderstorms can develop quickly in the Ouachita Mountains.
