Largemouth Bass

Greenbrier, Arkansas, offers some excellent largemouth bass fishing, particularly in nearby Lake Beaverfork and the smaller ponds and lakes scattered throughout the surrounding area. Lake Beaverfork, a popular recreational spot, provides a good mix of open water and shoreline structure. Spring and fall are generally the most productive seasons. During the spring spawn, target shallow coves and weed beds with spinnerbaits or soft plastics. In the fall, bass tend to move deeper as the water cools, so crankbaits and Carolina rigs can be effective. A local tip: Pay attention to the shad activity – bass often follow schools of shad. Also, Lake Beaverfork can get crowded on weekends, so consider fishing during the week if possible. The bass population in this area is healthy, with a good number of fish in the 3-5 pound range, and the occasional larger fish as well.
