Haskell, Arkansas, while not necessarily a bass fishing mecca, offers some solid largemouth opportunities in its smaller lakes and ponds. If you're looking for quantity over trophy size, this is a good place to start. One of the closest options is Lake Norrell, a smaller impoundment. Focus on the coves and weed lines, especially during the spring and fall. Plastic worms, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits are all productive. Access to Lake Norrell is readily available with a boat launch and multiple spots for bank fishing. Early mornings and late afternoons are generally the best times to fish, especially during the hotter summer months. The bass in this area tend to be relatively pressured, so try experimenting with different presentations and lure retrieves. Consider using lighter line and smaller hooks to increase your chances of getting a bite.
